so this could be causing the problem as well. Unplug it if so and see if
this is the problem after the above steps

6500.
If it all fails the final & best option is to take it back where you purchased it or contact Canon service center
about the error code. They will surely solve it.

The service error 6500 refers to "other hardware error". This error results from printer hardware failure & nothing much a user can do except replacing the malfunctioning hardware. 6500 is generally logic board error code. If the printer is under warranty, you better ask for replacement.
