The 343 printer error means that your waste ink absorbtion pad is full. Follow these steps below to reset it:

1. Go to menu by pressing the > button
2. Press [copy] and then #
3. Go to 'test mode' by pressing > several times
when "test mode" is on the screen press the "ok" button.
4. Now press 8 then 3 then 0
5. After that press the on/off button

Printer says check printer ##343
you can reset the error by doing

1. Service menu: Menu -> Scan -> Copy -> Scan
2. Select "TEST MODE"
3. Select "[8] ETC.."
4. Select "[4] EEPROM CLEAR"
5. Select "[1] INK COUNT"
6) Press the [OK] key.
7) Press the [Stop/Reset] key (returns you to the TEST MOD sub-menu))
8) press the [ON/OFF] key (which resets the printer)

That is a contact failure on the BTR roller. It is the larger black roller inside the left side door. It may just have a dirty contact, or may need to be replaced. But for some reason the machine is not seeing good contact to that roller.
