I recently upgraded my computer. My old computer (running XP) was connected with my print server which hosted two printers. Now that i have my new computer up and going (i am keeping my old computer as well) I cannot seem to get it connected with the server and add the printers. I have upgraded my dlink firmware to support vista...what am i missing?

What is the IP of the Print Server and the Printer itself? They have to be on a 'flat network' or the gateways of the the 'adjacent' networks have to be defined as a neighborhood.

Try changing the driver for your HP LJP3005 on your XP machine. Use it with the HP LJ Series II driver.

If I power off my HP printer, the DPR 1260 loses connectivity with the printer. I have to reinstall using the USB connection from the printer to the PC, then DON'T POWER DOWN THE PRINTER, & then move the USB to the server & reinstall. The printer will work as long as the power to the printer stays on.
