Make sure you Ethernet is enabled in bios restart your computer during the boot up process you will see on your screen a certain key to
press to enter set up (BIOS) press and hold that key to enter bios using arrow keys scroll to intergrated peripherals look for SiS On Chip Pci Device press enter scroll to SiS 10/100m press enter make sure its enabled
to create the menu tab on your homepage right click in the top toolbar you should see a number of toolbar options select the menu tab which will add File Edit View Favorites Tools and Help click on the tools at the bottom of the drop down list will be internet options or click start control panel internet options you will see a home page box To Create Page Tabs type each adress on its own line (type in google.com) or your preferred home page and browser below that will be change search defaults click on settings you will see all search providers you have if dont need any of them you can disable or remove them
click start type cmd press enter you will be in DOS mode
type in ipconfig press enter
you will see all of your internet connection details
or type in your default gateway adress into your internet search should read something like 10.0.0.138 to get an inertnet connection hope it helps
