My microwave starts however food does not heat up.
Micro wave as the name suggests produces heat when the micro waves aimed at an object causes the water molecules inside the object to vibrate hence producing heat. The gadget responsible is the magnetron. If your magnetron is not receiving ht voltage or receiving but faulty, then your micro wave wont work please take precaution when opening micro wave due to high voltage caps that remain charged sometimes even when it is off.check the high voltage fuse/ diode and capacitor if they are fine and the step up trans former o.k then the only option is to replace the magnetron
GE washer no spin cycle, motor code is "brake resistor circuit open". I measure 47 Ohms. What is correct value?
The correct value of the brake resistor circuit for your GE washing machine may vary depending on the specific model and other factors. However, according to some sources, the typical resistance for a GE washing machine brake resistor circuit is around 25-30 Ohms.
If you are measuring 47 Ohms, this could indicate that there is an issue with the circuit, which could be causing the error code and the problem with the spin cycle. You may want to check for any loose connections or damaged components in the circuit, and consider replacing the resistor if necessary. If you are not comfortable with electrical repairs, it may be best to contact a qualified technician for assistance.
HELP! 05 GE Commercial coin opp timer dial setting
"Setting the timer/price on an '05 GE Commercial Coin-Op washer depends on whether you have a mechanical slide or a digital control. Here is how to adjust the most common versions:"
1. Mechanical Rotary Timer (Greenwald Style):
If your machine has a rotating dial inside the service panel:
Access: Use your service key to open the top coin vault/service door.
The Pins: Look at the back of the timer dial. You will see a series of slots with metal pins or 'tabs'.
Adjustment: Each pin represents a specific amount of time or a specific coin value. To increase the wash time, you move the 'cut-off' pin further clockwise.
Pricing: If you are trying to change the price, you usually have to adjust the Coin Slide itself by adding or removing 'blocking' slats inside the slide mechanism.
2. Digital Display Models (Programming Mode):
If your GE has a digital display:
Enter Service Mode: Most 2005 models enter programming mode by pressing a specific combination (usually 'Normal' and 'Perm Press' buttons simultaneously for 3-5 seconds) while the service door is open.
Navigation: Use the cycle buttons to scroll through 'Codes'.
Code 01: Sets the price (e.g., 150 = $1.50).
Code 02: Sets the wash time in minutes.
Save: Press 'Start' to save the settings.
3. If the Timer is Stuck:
If your "HELP!" is because the timer isn't advancing:
Check the Timer Motor. These small motors often burn out. If you hear a faint ticking but the dial doesn't move, the plastic gears inside the timer are likely stripped and the entire timer unit needs replacement.
Expert Tip: Always unplug the machine or flip the breaker before touching the wiring behind the timer. There are high-voltage exposed terminals back there!
GE JKP27 oven elements not working
Since both the broil and bake elements now fail to heat, the problem is probably upstream of the elements themselves. The short almost certainly damaged either the high?limit fuse or the ERC board. Testing continuity and voltage will tell you which. If the fuse is open, replace it. If the fuse is fine but no voltage reaches the elements, the ERC board needs replacement.

It will not drin about 2 inches of water after
Do you have a disposal and is it working? If yes, then the only other things i can think it would be is the impeller is stripped or the vane that opens to drain is stripped. You could also check the amps/and voltage to the motor to make sure it is running as it should.

Check circuit breaker at the house electric panel, if good, check for voltage (220/240)volts at the receptacle that the dryer power cord plugs into, if good, check for voltage(220/240)volts at the dryer terminal block where the dryer power cord connects to the dryer, if good, check voltages at the dryer power transformer, should be 220/240 volts for motor, and 110/115 volts control power for dryer controls, you should find the failure within these inspections/testing.
Good Luck !
GE WPXH214A washer not draining
1?? Draining the water:
- Use a cup or small container to scoop it out, or pull out the small drain hose (usually at the bottom) and let it flow into a bucket.
2?? Replacing the drain pump:
- Tools: screwdrivers, pliers, socket set, towels, bucket.
- Steps: unplug washer ? remove panel ? disconnect hoses ? remove old pump ? install new pump ? reconnect hoses ? test.
3?? Extras:
- No Teflon tape or sealant needed. Just make sure hose clamps are tight.
GE French door fridge not cooling food and has code
Does only one letter look like an upside down F? If so, the code is probably tF, turbo Freeze. That actually indicates a feature in use. The coolant system should have the fan running on high, even when the door is open. Depending on the refrigerator, press and hold the Freezer button for 3+ seconds or press the Express Mode key to disable the turbo freeze mode.
Since the refrigerator isn't cooling, clean the coils. Check for any areas that have ice on or near the coils. That will indicate a refrigerant leak and a service call is required. Check if the fan is moving. If it isn't, you may need to replace the fan or the motor. This fan circulates the cold air into the refrigerator. Next check that the vents between the freezer and the refrigerator aren't blocked.
I hope this helps. For more specific assistance, please add a comment with the model number of the refrigerator. GE has built a number of french-door refrigerators and there are some differences in the parts between models over time.

GE Camcorder CG551. My viewfinder is flashing EO3. What does that mean?
Question edited for clarity.Question moved from Misc category.Tape transport issue. E-03 is a warning that the cassette take up drive spindle is not turning properly, and this can in many cases be caused simply by the actual tape used being faulty (internally sticking) so another tape must always be tried. Continual use of non JVC brand tapes can cause problems with JVC devices, and TDK or Maxell tapes especially should never be used, as its known in service circles that there is a high incidence of drive problems where these brands have been used, always stick to JVC - Panasonic or Fuji tapes. However if another tape doesn't cure the problem then it indicates that the take up mechanism will have to be inspected, which obviously requires an element of dismantling to be carried out. A long shot measure which sometimes helps is, with the cassette holder open blow air into, and onto, the spindle area, a hairdryer on its cool setting is ideal for this, as if tape lubrication dust contamination is the cause of the problem then this might clear it.
