There are no drivers available from dell for OS X
so it is better to use it through visualized WINDOWS system
use VMWARE FUSION or other VIRTUALIZATION SOFTWARE
or USE BOOTCAMP and use the BOOTCAMP drive as VM through VMWARE FUSION
and then connect the printer to virtual system for e.g. WINDOWS 7 VM
and then you can install driver in visualized windows and can use it in MAC by sharing VM PRINTER with HOST SYSTEM.
What version of OSX are you using?
Do you have a installation Disk? If not you can try to go to System Preferences>Print and Fax>Click the plus sign +>and locate the correct drivers for your specific printer.
