It was the flag sensor itself becoming dislodged. The sensor electrical connection is very short and caused it to pull the sensor off its mounting holes. First I snapped off the top rear small cover (one side snaps off the other has tabs so slide it sideways to remove), then I opened the rear door and I then taped up the flag to keep it out of the way. The side panel (left from front of machine) has three snaps and a built in insert pin. Unsnap the three snaps, rotate the side panel to the rear of the machine and remove it by sliding the insert pin up and out. Easy access to the sensor is mandatory for snapping it back in place, so I removed the two screws which are on the open side and hold down the top loader body assembly for easier access to the holes to reinsert that pesky sensor. Reverse the process and always be mindful of the connection wires to the sensor or you will be doing the whole process again in the future. FYI remember when opening the front panels for any reason that one MUST ALWAYS "PRESS THE BUTTONS" or you will be using super glue........ hope this helps.
If you look to the printer, on the way out there is a small flag that usually gets stuck and then you get the error "Remove Paper Standard Bin". Simply look at the image below to see which flag I am taking about. Make sure it didn't came out of it's holder and if it did, just fix it back in so that when you lift it up it falls down easily. In my experience this always fixed it.

there is a flag in the output bin that lets the printer know when there is too much paper on top of the printer and it stops so that the papers do not continue to feed out and overflow.
Either the flag is stuck in the up position, in which case you can just gently move it so it is hanging straight down, or the flag has been broken off and no longer functional ( in which case the flag and/or sensor would need to be replaced).

top bin full error is hte lever sensor where you see the paper coming out, the lever is stuck in the up position.
It's used to tell you to remove the paper from the exit because it's too full.( Too many copies on the top)

I had the same problem and it was driving me nuts. Turns out it was nothing more than the little flap that hangs down at the left hand corner of the output tray. It was stuck in the up position. After resetting it I had to cycle the power and everything is copacetic. Hope that helps

if your getting a standard bin error this is caused by the flag on the top of the printer where the paper comes out or the sensor that it triggers. look to the far left where the paper comes out you'll see the flag make sure it moves freely if it does replace the sensor

Check the sensor flag where the paper exits the printer and make sure it is not stuck in the "up" position. This is a small black plactic flap right in the center of where the paper exits. When this flap is up it tells the printer that this area is full. HP says to "flip" the sensor flag up and down to make sure it is not stuck.
