Hi, i have a problem with my toshiba regza, 32" about 18 months old, keeps changing screen width to 4:3 from widescreen on some of the music channels on sky! keep resetting it but still does it next time, any clues? is it the tv or the sky box (which is 6 months old and seems fine) many thanks Debbie

sorry had tried that one and it does solve it, wont seem to save the changes and is showing as 16:9, its odd because it only does it on certain channels

Many thanks, that def seems to have been the root of the problem, ive found a setting on the tv which can be disabled to stop it talking to the sky box and so far it is looking good. Thanks again. Debbie

Hi Debbie,

Check the picture format setting on your Sky box.

Press Services.
4 for set up.
1 for Picture.

Theres and option that says 16:9, 4:3 or 4:3LB, make sure its set to 16:9.
Then go to Save settings and press the Select button to save the setting.

Regards

Andy

    Hi Debbie,

You have got the TV and Sky box connected through a scart lead, haven't you? The scart lead carries a switching signal to tell the TV its a widescreen broadcast.

    Regards

    Andy
