Error 5100 is a carriage error, meaning the printer cannot find the position of the carrier. You have likely gotten some grease or ink on the 10mm wide plastic strip that goes through the carrier, just to the rear of the ink tanks. Unplug the printer with the cover open, then you can manually move the carrier from side to side and use a tissue to wipe any material from the encoder strip.
