Hi liverpool97.
Let me explain you about the Proxy servers.
In Computer Networks, a Proxy Server is a Server (a Computer system or an application program) that acts as an intermediary for requests from clients seeking resources from other servers.
A client connects to the proxy server, requesting some service, such as a file, connection, web page, or other resource, available from a different server.
The proxy server evaluates the request according to its filtering rules.
For example, it may filter traffic by IP address or protocol. If the request is validated by the filter, the proxy provides the resource by connecting to the relevant server and requesting the service on behalf of the client.
A proxy server may optionally alter the client's request or the server's response, and sometimes it may serve the request without contacting the specified server.
In this case, it 'caches' responses from the remote server, and returns subsequent requests for the same content directly.
Hope this helps.
Please let me know if you need further information about the Proxy servers.
I'll be glad to assist you.

Unable to connect to the proxy server A proxy

This is a brain-dead system default setting from Microsoft. If your company/network requires you to use a proxy server, they can make it happen invisibly to you. There is nothing wrong with turning it off except that your connection might slow down if there is a proxy on your network and you don\'t use it. Proxy can cache (save recent pages) and/or restrict your access (filter porn sites). Filtering should be invisible or not configurable by users. The MS default is just plain wrong.

Anyone have any proxy new sites? My school has like a word filter so you cant access anything that has proxy or a social networks name in the address...and all of the usual suggestions are already...

Have you tried instead of a proxy website an actual proxy server configured in internet explorer by going tools > internet options > connections > lan settings unchecking automatically detect and checking use a proxy server then enter the proxy servers information. Their are lists of proxy server ips available online just search "proxy list" in google

They blocked youtube in libya, some said to change the dns, it worked fine , but now after you change IP or DNS , u dont get internet. i couldnt fin a workin proxy

Here's a proxy that seems to work pretty well:
  1. Go to http://www.youtubeproxy.co.uk/
  2. Click the "Proxy" button next to the URL for Youtube
  3. Enjoy!
You can also use this proxy to browse other websites that have been blocked. Just type the URL of the website you want into the text box beside "Proxy."

How to proxy facebook???

Use other proxy sites to access facebook.com

Rather than typing the usual WWW.FACEBOOK.COM in your web address bar to get an access, choose one proxy address from the list and access it. Then on the proxy site type www.facebook.com to get an access. Not all proxy sites from the list are working so better find the one that work.

1. Proxy Site for Facebook - download this documents and select from the list.

Please accept if this works. Thanks
