Hi, im asking for your help because every time I type cmd on Run, appears a problem that says "cmd is not a valid win 32 application". I try to found what this could be on google and they told me that it could be a virus or spyware on my system, but I run my antivirus and nothing appear. Also switch cmd on search engine from another cmd.exe and nothing. My antivirus is Avast, if someone could help me it would be very useful
It is probably a leftover problem from spyware or a virus.
Open Windows Explorer and go to C:\Windows\System32
Click Folder Options on the Tools menu.
Click the View tab
Select Show hidden files and folders, under Hidden files and folders
Now find cmd.com and delete it
Don't touch command.com, only cmd.com.
Check also for the file ping.com and delete it if it exists.
Warning: Don't delete cmd.exe and ping.exe only the files with .com extension. Be careful, because you are working with system files here.
Good luck

Just a question: Are you sure your hidden files are shown?
To check:
Go to Start > Run
Type cmd.exe instead of cmd
If this works, i'm pretty sure there is a file called cmd.com in your system32 folder.
if cmd.exe does not work:
Go to Start > Run again and type command
This should work... This dos window looks pretty much like cmd.exe, but it cmd.exe is easier to use. In this case it makes no difference.
Now you have opened a dos window (cmd.exe or command.com)
now do the following actions, in the order shown, and press enter after each command:
cd C:\
cd windows
cd system32
dir cmd.com
the program will show whether the file has been found or no files have been found.
if a file is found, type:
del cmd.com
i hope this is clear to you

I went to the specified C:\windows\system32 and there was nothing with the name cmd.com or ping.com, also I try to look using search engine and nothing appears. What else can I do?
P.P.S. there's a file with name "pagefileconfig" is this a spyware because its seems to me?
cmd.exe works but when I type the following actions above the computer told me that no files where found, anything more I could do?
I make sure that in folder options says show hidden files and folders but nothing happen, but a search in cmd.exe for command.com and there was something, this could be it?
