I too have a kenmore elite calypso top load ...with an error code FL ...tub will not drain. What can I do?
The FL (Over Fill) error code indicates that the flood pressure switch is open (tripped). It is likely that you are getting the LD (Long Drain) fault code
because the control detects that the flood pressure switch will not
reset after running the drain pump. Your likely failure is in the flood
pressure switch
Tapping on the flood pressure switch with the handle of a screw driver
may reset it. Reassemble the washer and see if it will work properly.
If not, then you will need to replace the flood pressure switch. The

With an overfill condition, the beeper repeats a warning every 10
seconds with no time-out. The pump is cycled in drain mode for 30
seconds on, 30 seconds off until the overfill switch resets or power is
discontinued to the unit.

most probably needs the water pump replaced. not hard to do if you are a little handy.. there were a lot of problems with this machine regarding the water pumps.
