Am having problem installing Java. I have tried severla times to download it but along the finishing, it keeps wrting a notice saying that Java is already installed in my computer. But testing my computer from Java website, it says that Java is not present in my computer. What can I do? FYI, Java was previously functioning properly in my computer, but stopped sometime ago. I uninstalled the old one in my computer and tried to install again. That is when my problem started. ANY HELP? My computer has Window Vista Thanks.

Are you getting the below exception
Error 1714. The older version of Java cannot be removed

If yes , the you can try Offline installation of Java.The below URL gives the complete details -
http://java.com/en/download/help/error_1714.xml
