For kenwood car stereo's, is'nt there a way to unlock a forgotten security code without the remote? I bought the car used and replaced the battery and the radio no longer works, it's asking me for a code and the previous owner lost the paperwork..

its out of the car now, but i got the car with the kenwood dpx-301. basicly i unplugged my battery and it reset. the orignal owner but he can't remember the secerty code. 9999 or something. but when i turn on the stero its goes direct to "enter secrty code" its only 4 digit numbers to enter. i get alot of beeps and boops. but if i still have it just in case. right now i use the jvc lcd screen bomb for sure!

some times as im driving the cd player goes into "error" and i cannot play or eject the cd untill i restart the car... but i can still listen to the radio. is there a code to bypass this or another way to over come this problem?

i have a kenwood kdc-x559 i work at a dealer ship that pull aftermarket radios out and throws them away and replace with factory radios i picked this one up but i dont not have the security code to access the functions on the radio when you first turn it on it come up and ask for a four digit code is thie any way to reset this with out taken it to a shop? please email me back at helpmememory@hotmail.com
