Adobe reader error message

I cannot open any programs because an adobe error message pops up saying adobe reader could not open file because it is not a supported file type or has been damaged. I have exact same problem and want the messages to stop. They are annoying and pop up each time I try to restart windows. I can click on individual files or programs fine and they all seem to work fine so not sure why I am getting message. I recently did some default restore and updates in windows and McAfee security software so not sure if that had anything to do with it.

It is possible that somewhere along the line adobe reader became conflicted with an update from something else ect.

First thing you should try is uninstalling adobe reader completely in add/remove programs. Then Install the latest version of adobe reader.

This should put an end to the error messages and restore functionality to normal.
