F3 code shows at just about any time during use. when first turned on and during the heat up process - anytime. The convection fan also turns off and the F3 code results. It has been turned on over and over again and it turns itself off at an undetermined time with the F3 error code on display and then goes off altogether.
Bad oven temp sensor. If you know how to do so you can disconnect the power and remove the temp sensor. The two white wires to the sensor, ohm it. it must read ~1080 ohms. If not really close to that at room temp then replace sensor.

I have the same problem. I noticed that the oven gets to the selected temp ok. Then when the pilot attempts to RELIGHT, it gets the error F3. Did you get a solution? After other posts, I will see if the temp sensor is around 1100 ohm as suggested by others. Ken

on our maytag a f3 code means shorted or open temperature sensor. do not know if that code is the same as a ge, but you can google your oven model codes and find out what the problem is.
