Keep getting an update error code 3: 0x80080005
Try this guideline:
Close Google Chrome
Click the Start
In the search box, type CMD
Click on the CMD icon and you will see the command window open
Type: cd %localappdata%\google\update
After you press enter, you cursor should now be in your google update directory
Type: GoogleUpdate.exe /RegServer
Running that only took a second.
Open Google chrome and check 'About Google Chrome' again and it should now check the update servers successfully.
If problem still occurs then use system utility tool Intel Software Partner Reginout.

Hi,
What you need to do is,
right click your file so you bring up the
options menu of solutions such as Delete, Rename, etc. If you’re
running Vista you should have the option to click “Run as
Administrator” simply click this (ensure you have administrator
priveledges, else wise this may not work) and it’ll pop up asking you
if you’re sure, click yes.
This should launch the installer and fix it!
Hope my info fixes your problem.....
