I would try uninstalling the driver and reinstalling it. Could be because the computer is not reading the scanner.

Check your power adapter. It should have output 16V and 0.9A. On mine it says SPEC LIN.

I think it's wise to check the power supply... maybe it's connected to the one with wrong voltage...

When I make connection with USB extension line, the error message shown.
When the connection directly make to computer USB, the scanner works properly.

USB extension cable does not provide enough power for the scanner; I am guessing you are using an active USB cable extension

I own since 1998 Vuego Scan Brisa 610S from Acer, in Windows 98SE in Imaging program i got the error message : Read image data failure. Please restart scanner! Code[xxxx:xxxx] with Mirascan v3.42 and i also tried older Mirascan 3.04. The problem persists. I email Benq technical support and told me that maybe the scanner is defective and needs repair or buy a new one !.

okay, looks like the problem is old. but i've faced to that problem just now. so, i'm replying to you now. my case was also sounds same. problem was in the scanning head. it wasn't move. i figured out it is a timing problem. so, i open the scanner and moved the head from the hand to the other end. and after that. it worked well. its a hardware error. just move the scanning head form the current end to the other end. and switch on the scanner. mine was worked. mine one was Epson CX 1500.
