I had the same problem with a Viewsonic N3735W LCD TV and Comcast Customer DVR 3 Device remote. I contacted Viewsonic and they gave me 11454 which works.

I struggled with the same problem for my viewsonic 37" LCD. No remote code works with it. I solved my problem by getting a Universal remote control with Learning function. The learning remote can store the codes from your viewsonic remote and also store the codes from your Dish DVR Remote. You can program each button as desired and finally have one remote for the TV and Dish. I have now put my Viewsonic remote and my Dish DVR remote in the drawer and I am using the universal remote flawlessly. Finally! The remote I use is called "One for All" but several others also have the learning function. Hope this helps!
