Hello m_cjharold,

With regard to PIN Code, it is the code of your SIM card. (example: AT&T, Cingular, Vodafone, Globe, Smart etc.)

If ever you have no idea what it is or if you forgot it, you can contact your service provider for the PUK code wherein you can enter once you used all the chances to enter the PIN Code.

To make sure, if your N95 is unlocked, meaning you can use different SIM Card, try using another SIM card and it should work fine. However, if it asked for Phone Code, it means you need the Security Code of the Nokia N95 not the PIN Code.

PUK code in PIN UNLOCKING CODE, which is required when you give PIN number wrongly for 3 times, This code is OPERATOR specific and not phone specific and you have to call you operator and get PUk if PIN is blocked...
if you provide PUK code wrongly for 7 time, you sim may become useless, then you have to buy new SIM
NOTE: You should ask your service provider..

Call the Cingular/AT&T customer service number, and have them get your PUK code. Once you enter the correct PUK, you should be able to set a new PIN.

Sony ericsson gc83 to unlock
Cingular usually has a standard pin# of 0000. If this does n't work contact cingular they might not be compatible with each other. I have been a cingular customer for over 10 years, and have found majority of what they have works within there own equipment. trying to use the pc card with t-mobile, although it is a great Idea, and makes sense, I believe it is a compatability issue. makes some calls, and if you dont get the answer you like from cingular, call and talk to tech support from both sides t-mobile, and cingular.

You can lock the SIM and/or the phone. PIN or SECURITY codes you'll have to use one or the other of the codes so in this case you have three ie: 1 for SIM #1 and 1 for SIM #2 plus 1 security code for the phone.
Put the original SIM in the phone and go to tools and switch off phone security code. Then change sim.
