Try keeping the paper only in the bottom tray (there's a tray in the bottom) Try pulling any paper out of the top and just close that top tray. Open up the head so that u can see the ink cartridges and turn the printer on and off and maybe it will center itself again. If it's still not working (even if lights aren't red and print head wont align in the center) try manually moving the head back and forth like 18 times so you can lubricate that rail in the back that's holding it. After that, re-turn it off and on again.

Thanks. Tried all the above but still not printing, nor print head aligning in centre. Is it possible to fix this rotten problem??

No lights on the ink cartridges, error b200.

1) Turn the printer off. Unplug it from the power source. Open the printer cover in order to expose the ink cartridges.

2) Remove the MP560 cartridges - PGI-220BK and CLI-221. Re-install the printhead, and the ink cartridges before you power up your printer.

3) Cleaning the printhead might solve the problem.

Correcting B200 Error

1) The Support Code b200 is an error message that may arise with the text which states "Printer Error Occurred", or "Contact the Service Center".

2) You will receive this message on your printer due to an electronic problem which may arise in the ink cartridges.

3) Open the top cover of your printer. Discard all the cartridges. Get rid of the printhead by lifting the lever which is placed just near the cartridge cradle, then take the printhead from the printer.

4) Re-insert the printhead back into its correct position, and ensure to lock the lever. Insert all the cartridges into their correct position, and confirm that there is no open door.

5) Unplug your printer cord from the electricity board, and keep it unplugged for a few minutes.

6) Let the printer cool down. Plug the printer back again.

Canon pixma mx870 error B200

how to repair b200 error code on canon MX870 printer?

I can not do anything on my printer. When I turn it orn the Error Code B200 is flashing on the printer screen. I need to know how to get rid of this code.

That error code is not listed on the known error codes for that model. Something to try is to turn off the machine, unplug the power cord from the power supply for five minutes. Plug the cord back in and turn on the machine. Give that a try and see if that fixes your problem. Otherwise I would suggest contacting Canon customer support at 1-800-OKCANON. Take care & good luck!

What is error B200 on Canon MX850?

The B200 error is a Voltage High Error. I read that you should try using a different power outlet and see if that works and if that doesn't work try cleaning the print head:

  1. Open the printer and wait for the carriage to slide over. If for some reason it does not follow these instructions:
    • Unplug the printer
    • Manually slide the carriage over until you can get the ink cartridges out.
  2. Remove the ink cartridges from the print head.
  3. Use cotton swabs dipped in hot water or a mix of hot water and alcohol to thoroughly clean the print head.
  4. Repeat this until there is no ink residue coming off on the cotton swab
  5. Allow to dry and replace the cartridges
  6. Try to print something

If it doesn't fix it then the board inside of the printer is faulty and you will have to replace the printer
Thanks. -Sa_Les_Ski
