You can get a mini display port on the side to either vga or dvi out so you can hook to an external LCD and this will tell you for sure either lcd or inverter but its hard to say if its lcd or inverter but the inverter sometimes is part of the display. The serial # is 4H5210J0RJ5 and Model # A1104.
The DVI output does work but I want to reload software and the DVI driver doesn't load until partway thru the boot up which works for logging in but not for reloading software. When reloading software the instructions only go to the native which is why I would like to fix the video LCD. So this really limits future use. Any thoughts????
