Reader communication error

Check on connection between the reader controller
PCB and the main controller PCB, Check on the
reader power supply

This error can occure during transfer of machine, the boards are conected with one slot.Try to adjust and reconnect boards.

This error indicates that it cant detect the scanner unit of IRC3220

Check the cable that connect the machine and scanner unit .switch off the machine disconnect the cable and reconnect it and switch on the machine again hope this will help

this is a reader board error ... 1st check all connectors on the machine unplug and replug did this just happen or could there be a connector missing, this code usually comes from the connecter that looks like a small parrellel connector on rear going from scanner to right rear side

This error code is a communication error between the Reader Unit and the Copier (Printer Unit). Shut down and un-plug the Copier. Unplug and reset all the connectors on the rear and sides of the copier. One interface cable is responsible for communication between the reader unit and printer unit. This may solve the problem. Possible the cable is defective see if cable or cable socket is damaged.

This error also can be caused by a defective reader controller/DC Controller or Main Controller PCB.

If the simple cable check does not solve the problem a service call by a Canon dealer will required.
