The problem is tthat android cant play very many video formats you have to donwload an app to play them, i highly suggest MX video players its simple and plays anything and is free!

For every format (MP4 is not one, but dozens of formats and no standard) you need a player, or on a computer a setting in a program. A DVD player, only can play one format, a DVD format. Actually it is even a coded format. When you have a MP4 file, you should encode it to to the DVD format and then but it to a DVD, before you try to play it in a DVD player. Try reading some articles about video formats on Wikipedia, when it is interesting enough for you to understand different Video (and Audio) formats.

To be able for you to play mp4 videos on your camera, you have to make sure that you have converted the videos to a format acceptable to your device. Formats like , vlc, avi etc. then you also need to check the size of the video as well.
